Bill Cottrell's Testimony (continued..)
- Rob: I just returned home to Michigan from my holiday vacation at my daughter's in Wichita,Kansas. As you know our vacation included a two day hunt at the Weil Ranch for hogs. I initially was going to bring Jacob my middle grandson but a new job prevented him from coming. I then brought his older brother (John) and his younger brother (Joshua), both of whom have never hunted. I think they came so grandpa didn't have to hunt alone. I wasn't sure how they would receive the hunt but as you know, they took to it like the proverbial duck to water. I guess the 10 million years of genetics came through. I was so pleased that we have two more brothers in the hunting community. The Weil ranch and you and your family couldn't have been any nicer or patient with new hunters. I wasn't surprised that my olderst grandson John who must have been born with a star over his crib shot a trophy hog with one shot in the first five minutes of the hunt. Even though mine would fit in the carcass of John's, I am sure that it will taste good. We fried one of the tenderloins of John's hog when we got to my daughters and we could't tell it from a domestic hog. Delicious! I would like to express my sincere gratitude for making this hunt one of the highlights of my life, not just my hunting experiences. You and your family treated us as though we were also family. The accomodations were spectacular and the food was superb. It truly felt like when I was a kid and we went hunting with all the cousins and uncles. One big family that shared the joy of success and soothed any feelings of inadequacy. (OK it was me, I missed, it happens) I am sure that Kash's TV show will be a success. If it is half as entertaing as Kash himself, it will beat any show out there. We are already thinking of next years hunt and I hope you can replicate this years because it was perfect. Our other two hunters there (Pete and his son Mike) were also like family and we hit it off instantly. I hope they come next year as well because we talked of a repeat with them also. Rob, you better add some more beds to the lodge, which deserves a lot of praise in it's own right. The lodge is beautiful with superior craftsmanship everywhere. My grandsons enjoyed the pool table, foosball table, the fire pit, and the big screen TV. I enjoyed the bed for much of the time that they were using the other ammenities. Well I could go on longer but I am sure that I have been "wordy" enough. I will close again with my sincere gratitude for making our hunt first class. Thanks to you Rob and your delightful family.
